Jiri Harcuba Monument
A timbered single-storey house with a glass cutting workshop has been preserved in the appearance characteristic of rural architecture on the border between the Jizerske Mountains and the Krkonose. It was built as a glassmaker’s dwelling linked to the Novy Svet glassworks, and is a typical example of a late 18th-century regional rural building.
The historically very valuable glass cutting and engraving home workshop holds a uniquely preserved collection of glassmaking technologies. The house was therefore declared national heritage back in 1980.
