Mumlava Waterfall
The waterfall on the River Mumlava lies 1 km above Harrachov on the blue-marked tourist path. It is about 10 m high and the biggest of the Krkonose waterfalls as regards flow rate and breadth.
Huge evorsion features, the largest in the country, known as ‘giant pots’, can be seen above and below the waterfall in the granite river bed. The waterfall is easy to access for hikers, cyclists and by wheelchair via a new road. Motor transport is prohibited.
If you want to enjoy it in more peace, plan your trip outside the main season. You can continue from the waterfall to Krakonos Breakfast (Krakonosova snidane) junction. You can also take the River Mumlava Living and Dead trail to see why the river forms the so-called giant pots in its riverbed and why they are dangerous.
