Trutnov Descent
You can take a cable car to Cerna hora mountain. From the upper station, take the K19A cycle track and descend to Hofmannovy chalet. Continue past the Tree Top Trail and then along the K19A cycle track for Bolkov. In Bolkov, turn left onto the KČT 4299 cycling track via Javornik to Vlčice, crossing the very busy main road no. 14 on the way, which requires attention. In Vlčice, turn left onto the KČT 4300 cycling track and go through the Hradeček Nature Park, where the ruins of Castle Břecštejn are worth a look. Continue on the KČT 4300 track, descending to Trutnov. Go underneath road no. 14 and turn right onto a local cycling track which leads to the Trutnov.
- Length: 31 km
- Surface: It mostly runs along a mix of solid and reinforced roads, but the section from Javornik to Vlčice isn’t reinforced. Pay greater attention to the descent on the KRNAP 19A cycling track, which may be steep in some places.
