Spindleruv Mlyn - a mountain town, which is a popular tourist centre and an important resort with a long tradition of winter sports. It lies on the Labe River, just a few kilometres from its source, right in the heart of the highest Czech mountains of the Krkonose Mountains. Its peculiar charm, now protected by the Krkonose National Park, has been admired by visitors for centuries. Join them!
From Spindleruv Mlyn to Plan
Spindleruv Mlyn
Enjoy a slightly more challenging trip from Spindleruv Mlyn to Plan! The first 7 kilometres will be steadily uphill. Once you have passed this long passage, a more pleasant path awaits you where you can rest.
The route starts in the centre of Spindleruv Mlyn and leads towards Svatý Petr along the river, which you will have on your left.
Then you will join the nature trail and reach the crossroads POD HROMOVKOU. From this point you continue along the blue trail, which will lead you to the KLINOVKA crossroads. This part of the trail is called "Cesta Stohem." The name may suggest that you will be crossing the Stoh slope, which is really steep but offers wonderful views of Spindleruv Mlyn and Medvedin.
After 7 kilometres uphill you will arrive at the KLINOVKA crossroads, where you will pass a shelter built by students of the Czech Technical University. These shelters are used only to survive bad weather or to rest.
At the Klinovka Chalet you can have a snack and enjoy not only good food, but also views of the Krkonose Mountains.
After that, you will only have to follow the green trail, which will lead you to Plan. Here you can decide whether to continue on foot or use the cable car that will take you down to Spindleruv Mlyn (the total length of the circuit using the cable car is 13.5 kilometres).

Krkonose shelters
Krkonose shelters offer shelter to pilgrims along the ridges. They hide from rain, snow, wind and cold. They allow you to rest safely and dryly in the mountain landscape, whose weather is fickle and can take many of us by surprise.

Bouda Klinovka Chalet
Since 2017, Bouda Klinovka chlaet has been part of the Mountain Ranch Klinové Boudy, which manages the adjacent mountain meadows. It is located on the southern slope, which is sunny all day, providing an ideal environment for visitors.
Thanks to its location, the Klinovka Shed is a great starting point for various activities both in winter and summer. It offers opportunities for mountain hikes and relaxation with the family, whether it is exploring the surrounding countryside or relaxing in the pleasant surroundings of the mountain hut.
