From Spindlerova Chalet through Poland to Harrachov
This cycle route offers a view of the Krkonose Mts. from Poland, where they are much steeper and have a completely different appearance.
Take the K15 cycle track to ascend to Spindlerova chalet from Spindleruv Mlyn. If you want to avoid this 10-km ascent, you can take the regular Krkonose cyclo-bus line from the bus stop in Spindleruv Mlyn. From the chalet take the steep descent, approx. 4.5 km in length, to the car park above Przesieka in Poland and join the ER2 cycle track via Szklarska Poreba, the biggest and oldest leisure centre in Lower Silesia, to Jakuszyce, the Polish centre of cross-country skiing, nicknamed the Polish Alaska. The place offers excellent conditions for cross-country skiing as well as for dog team competitions. In Jakuszyce, leave the Polish cycle track and descend along the main road to the border crossing and Harrachov.
