Podkrkonossky (Foothills) Circuit

Vrchlabi - Jilemnice - Libstat - Nova Paka - Hostinne - Vrchlabi

This easy route will show you the beauty of the foothills, called Podkrkonosi in Czech. It will take you through the villages with timbered houses and farmsteads as well as historical towns, past the Renaissance chateaux in Vrchlabi, Horni Branna and Jilemnice, through the historical square with the speaking giants in Hostinne, and other places. It will be topped off with picturesque views of the hilly landscape around Pecka Castle.

Turn left for road 283 along the Oleska river and continue via Bela u Stare Paky, Usti u Stare Paky, Roskopov, Stara Paka and Nova Paka. After the centre of Nova Paka, follow cycle track 4096 via Bela u Pecky and Pecka to Horni Brusnice. Turn left for cycle track 4086 via Mostek and Debrne to Hostinne.
