Dolní Dvůr
A picturesque mountain village with a quiet family atmosphere, a respect for nature, history and original architecture, a pleasant place to live and visit, with many opportunities for summer and winter relaxation without crowds of tourists. Listen to the tunes of unique chimes.
For Czech TV viewers, the village is known as the location of one of the most successful Czech comedies in the 1980s. It lies in the valley of the Dolni Labe river and its tributaries, and stretches up to the highest parts of the national park near Lisci mountain.
Family Facilities and Mountaineering Terrain
In winter there are two ski resorts in the village which provide comprehensive services, including groomed downhill tracks with artificial snow, night-time skiing, a ski school, ski and snowboard hire, cross-country tracks right at hand, and a connection to the main Krkonose ski trails.
In summer, many hiking and biking trails can be used, along with a multi-functional playground for tennis, football, foot tennis and volleyball. For adrenaline seekers, there are attractive climbing routes in the former quarry. Mushroom hunters can also enjoy the large forests close to the village.
There is a wide range of chalets for hire, comfortable family guest houses, holiday apartments as well as hotels with wellness services.
Unique chimes
The chimes at the Church of St. Joseph play different tunes each season of the year, and a series of carols during Christmas. It is the only place where you can enjoy five instead of four seasons of the year.
