Winter holidays in the Krkonose Mountains

What else to experience on a winter holiday in the Krkonose Mountains?

The winter fairy tale of the Krkonose Mountains is not written only for skiers and cross-country skiers. You can enjoy the snow in many ways. On the toboggan run, in the trough of the bobsled run and in the treetops. Try snowtubing, hide in museums, swimming pools and water parks.

Did you know that the new Krkonose Mountains Museum opened in Vrchlabi this autumn with the largest exhibition on the Krkonose Mountains in the world? We definitely recommend it for gloomy days.

See what you can discover during your winter holiday in the Krkonose Mountains.

I want to experience the Krkonose Mountains without skis

Welcome to the winter kingdom! When the Krkonose Mountains are covered in snow and everything sparkles like in a fairy tale, no adventurer big or small can resist winter fun.

The snow-covered hills beckon for a ride, whether you're skiing, cross-country skiing, bobsledding, sledging, bagging or shovelling. Where's the best place to ride? Which area is suitable for beginner skiers, or which trail can a little cross-country skier tackle? Where to go for fun, or where to hide when the weather isn't nice.

We will advise you and offer you lots of family-friendly experiences to make your mountain holiday perfect!

I want to go to the Krkonose Mountains with children

Do you come to the Krkonose Mountains for an active holiday and movement on mountain paths or ski slopes? Today, let your hiking boots air out, your skis rest and give your body the care you deserve after a hard day's work.

After all, even mountain nature goes to sleep in winter. Take her advice and come and see where you can be well looked after. The Krkonose hotels offer modern wellness centres, the Janske Lazne offers professional care, and the beer spa offers the perfect golden drink experience.

Where will you warm up your tired body today?

I want to relax

Shimmering snowdrifts that you can sink into up to your waist, snow crunching under your feet, snow-white views, waterfalls flowing under the ice crust - these are the winter Krkonose Mountains. Do you want to discover it all on your own feet? Go hiking on the ridges even in winter, but choose suitable routes, be careful and respectful of cross-country skiers or ski mountaineers. Do not enter groomed tracks. And be well equipped!

The ideal winter walk is around the White Elbe in Spindleruv Mlyn. From Horní Misecky you can walk to the Labska bouda, in Harrachov you can walk along the Mumlava to the waterfall and on to the Krakonos's breakfast...

Discover the right route for your feet!
