Most of the village lies inside the Krkonossky National Park at an altitude of around 800 m a.s.l. This altitude guarantees clean air and a high number of sunny days. Its position directly on the mountain top also provides beautiful views as well as easy starts to explore the mountains, whether on foot or by bike.

Air spa full of entertainment

A pleasant breeze and fresh air can be enjoyed here during hot summer days. Summer in Benecko is just as irresistible as winter. The nature of the Krkonossky National Park lures you on hikes and longer trips into the mountains around. The most popular destinations include the Zaly viewing tower, Serin viewing tower, Kotelska viewing point and Hucul mountain farm.

But even those who do not like hiking will be satisfied. Cyclists and scooter enthusiasts can use an array of bike trails or scooter tracks. If you want to take your bike a little farther, you can use any of the Krkonose cyclo-buses; their backbone line runs through Benecko.

Activities for the whole family

If you don’t want to walk too far from the centre of Benecko, you can enjoy your time with summer tubing and mountain carts. Inline skaters will love the 3-km inline track heading for the Rovinka junction. Not just children can check out the small singletrack circuit. We also recommend trying our educational trails – the Benecko Nature Trail and Luftakova Trail, and the Animals Trail from the gamekeeper’s lodge to the Rovinka junction. The biggest dwarf in the world can also be seen here, and clues from the Luftakova Trail will help you find it.

During the summer holidays, the Kejnos chair lift is in operation. When the weather is bad or your legs are tired, just visit the Workshop for Skilful Hands or the covered rope park for children in the Bowling Bar.

Family Skiing

The modern facilities of the Benecko ski resort offer ideal conditions for families on its various sun-lit slopes, suitable for beginners and less advanced skiers, and on a slalom slope for more experienced skiers. It also offers a snow park, rope park, timed slalom and two children’s ski parks.

A four-seat chair lift, 10 ski lifts, 2 children’s conveyors and 2 snowtubing tracks are operated here. We use artificial snow, and night-time skiing is available every day.

If you are not into downhill skiing or snowboarding but prefer cross-country skiing, we have 14 km of cross-country trails where you can try both classical as well as skate skiing.
