Around Cerna hora Mountain

Cerny Dul - Janske Lazne

From Cerny Dul, a town known for its mining history, ascend the side of Cerna hora mountain to enjoy many beautiful views of the landscape. You can refresh yourself in Janske Lazne, a spa town offering comfort for your soul, body and tastebuds.

The recommended route will take you along marked cycle tracks, reinforced as well as dirt roads, and begins at the main square in Cerny Dul. You can visit the Museum of Mining to see the history of mining in the Krkonose. If this topic appeals to you, you should not miss the Lime Trail (Vapenicka) and the ‘Berghaus’ Mining Educational Trail which you will pass by on this recommended route.

From the main square, ascend along the narrow road with the K1E cycle track and the blue-marked hiking trail. At the ‘Udoli Ciste’ junction, turn right where track K19B begins. Follow it to the Lucni svaznice junction, from where the ride will be a comfortable one with milder and steeper descents. Continue past Zrcadla (1243 m a.s.l.) and Cerna hora (1299 m a.s.l.) to reach Zrcadlove chalet. In the Zrcadlovska curve, turn right for the K19A cycle track and descend to Hoffmanovy chalet and the nearby Tree Crowns’ Trail. Turn left for cycle track 22 and descend to the spa colonnade in Janske Lazne.
