Stepanka Viewing Tower
The Stepanka viewing tower on Hvezda hill is one of the most attractive places around Korenov. In the annual publications of the German Mountain Association, it was for many years referred to as the Rigi of the Jizerske Mountains.
A slim 24 m tall octagonal tower built of brick and sandstone is located on a Neo-Gothic stone base. It was opened in 1892 and is rightfully considered to be one of the most beautiful viewing towers. It lies near Prichovice at an altitude of 959 m a.s.l. In good weather, it offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
You can view the entire Krkonose Mountain range with the highest mountain, Snezka, a panorama of the Cesky raj area with Tabor hill and Kozakov hill, and the more remote Bezdez hill. In good weather, Machovo Lake and Ralsko hill can be seen. Jested hill, part of the Luzicke Mountains, and the whole Jizerske Mountain range lie nearby.

Go from Harrachov to Zacler or in the opposite direction, for a three-day trip or for a whole week. Enjoy the pure nature, the warmth of the mountain chalets and the sky full of stars.
