Municipal Museum in Hostinne
The first floor of the former Franciscan convent in Hostinne houses the exhibition halls of the municipal museum. The exhibition on the history of one of the oldest towns in the Podkrkonosi area is located in Franciscan cells which date back to the 2nd half of the 17th century.
It depicts the history from the colonisation of the Upper Labe (the Elbe) region at the beginning of the 13th century and the founding of the town of Hostinne in the 2nd half of the 13th century, all major historical events and decisive moments immediately following World War Two. This exhibition presents the town’s history over the 750 years of its existence.
