Labsky Waterfall
Špindlerův Mlýn
The Labsky waterfall can be seen only 1 km from the source of the River Labe. The water falls 45 m into the Labska gorge to overcome a 200 m long stretch of stony rapids in the Labsky dul valley.
The waterfall is near Labska chalet, on a side road off the blue-marked tourist path. The stream of water isn’t too ample here, therefore, the waterfall used to be increased as a tourist attraction by means of a small reservoir where water could be gathered and discharged. The reservoir was built by Josef Sir, then the owner of Labska chalet. This attraction was later abandoned for nature conservation reasons.
