Hnedy vrch Viewing Tower
Designed to withstand the climatic conditions in the National Park, the Hnedy vrch (‘Brown Hill’) viewing tower is the highest of this type in the Krkonose, with a total height of 30.85 m. It was built in 2009 and co-financed from EU resources. You face 138 steps with 5 resting places to get to the top.
The gallery is 27 m above the surrounding ground and offers a panoramic view of the main Krkonose ridge, especially the three highest mountains, Lucni hora, Studnicni hora and Snezka. It also offers a view of Ruzova hora, Penkavci vrch in Velka Upa, Javor and the large flat massifs of Svetla hora and Cerna hora. Another attractive view is that of the centre of Pec pod Snezkou and the typical U-shaped valley of Obri dul.
The chair lift from Pec pod Snezkou to Hnedy hill can help you get there.
