DOTEK Environmental Centre

DOTEK is an acronym for Renewal of Tradition, Ecology and Culture. The former Baroque vicarage in Horni Marsov is an example of a unique combination of a historical monument and modern technology, such as biomass heating, solar panels and heat regeneration. The vicarage is the property of the SEVER centre, which completed its total reconstruction in 2013. The DOTEK centre aims at renewing people’s relationship to the landscape and nature, preserving historical heritage and spreading skills which focus on sustainable living. DOTEK offers educational programmes for schools, seminars for adults, public awareness and cultural events, excursions, focused walks, educational programmes and craft lessons for various age groups, information services for tourists and visitors to the Vicarage by Touch interactive exhibition, accommodation in an interesting environment with full board, and rooms for educational, social and cultural events.
