In the scenery of the Krkonose Mountains you can taste unexpected adventures. Will you choose calm or adrenaline experiences?

Whether you imagine your holiday to be calm or adrenaline-filled, in the Krkonose Mountains you can tailor-make it. We therefore offer experiences that are gentle and relaxing, but also wild and challenging. Count on the fact that with option two, you usually can't do without a good dose of courage and you'll be pushing yourself.

Overcome your own limits in the heights of the mountains, the depths of the mines or the lengths of the trails

You'll do better with a group of friends you can count on by your side.

Twilight on the Treetop Walk

Get the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional evening tour of the Trail through the treetops of the Krkonoše Mountains with a guide from the KRNAP Administration. You will observe the dying forest together. You will learn what happens there after the sun goes down and how the forest inhabitants cope with the darkness of the night. You will walk slowly along the entire route of the Trail to the top of the lookout tower, where you will welcome the night to the accompaniment of the Trutnoforte violin quartet. As the sun's last rays paint the outline of the mountains on the horizon, a glass of prosecco lands in your hand to enhance the exclusive experience conjured up by the summer evening amidst the mountain forests.

The Twilight on the Treetop Walk event takes place every Wednesday in August.

I want to experience that

Lamatreking and cameltreking

If you like to spend time in the quiet company of large animals, visit the Vlček family farm in Svoboda nad Upou and meet Aysha, Oliver, Monty, Sibi or Prcek. Choose from two prepared tours and choose whether you will be accompanied by a llama or a camel. But make no mistake - he won't carry you, he will accompany you side by side. Short rides around the farm can be booked for children with a maximum weight of 50 kg.

If you want to get to know these exotic animals better, you have the opportunity to become their keeper for a day. You will try everything from feeding, to bathing and cleaning the enclosures, to brushing.

For a walk with a llama

Kovarna Mine lets you into the bowels of Sněžka

A tour of the Kovárna mine offers you a pure and therefore physically demanding experience, not a relaxing walk. The humid underground keeps the temperature around nine degrees, you will encounter puddles and mud. You'll be crouched and cramped. Climb ladders with protective baskets in the open area, if you are afraid of heights, we do not recommend the tour. It is also not suitable for you if you suffer from claustrophobia or fear of the dark. If you go, equip yourself with warm clothing and sturdy waterproof shoes. You will be given a helmet, headlamp and gloves before you descend into the Barbora Grotto. You won't see the light again until three hours later, through the exit at the bottom of the Obri dul.

Excursions must be booked at least a fortnight in advance. It is open to children aged ten and over and a maximum of twelve people.

I want to go to the mine

On the rope over the dam

The Labska Dam is the dominant feature of the town of Spindleruv Mlyn. Will you try to fly over it? This is exactly what the Zip Line adrenaline attraction offers you. You will float on the rope at a height of 25 metres and cross the entire width of the dam, a total of 120 metres. It will only take a few seconds, but it might take longer to work up the courage to get off the solid ground. The Labe below you, the sky above you, adrenaline pulsing through your veins as you glide quickly through the air to the other side of the dam. Spread your wings and enjoy the flight!

I want to fly

Up by cable car or bus, down by scooter

Ten Krkonose cable cars are starting up for the summer season. From spring to autumn they will take you to the start of a trip, five of them also to the start of a long downhill. You can go to Cerna Hora, Medvedin, Plan, Portasky or Horni domky in Rokytnice nad Jizerou. In addition to the above-mentioned cable cars, you can also take the bus to Spindlerova bouda and enjoy the several-kilometre descent back to Spindleruv Mlyn. Scooters can be rented at all locations. Enjoy the speed, but be careful. The slopes of the Krkonose Mountains are steep and there are pedestrians on them. Caution and discretion are in order.

I want to try the downhill

Tandem paragliding

Soar above the Krkonose landscape with the lightness of a bird. Just put on your seat, take off and fly. Glide over the mountains, see them from a bird's eye view and float silently into their foothills. Instead of wings, you'll use a parachute, you won't land on your feet, you'll just land. And because the seat is covered with soft foam, it'll be like a feather bed. If you dare to jump from Cerna hora from an altitude of 1260 meters, book a tandem jump. You will be taken care of by an experienced pilot who will explain everything to you and get you safely to the ground in any situation. And if you want, he'll even do a pirouette with you in the air.

I want to float

Paintballing with the gang

Are you in the Krkonose Mountains with a group of friends or on a teambuilding trip? Include paintball in your program. You will strengthen your team spirit, practice strategic thinking and have a good time. Paintball requires presence of mind, courage and quick reflexes. The reward will be a great time, a clear head, because you will let the tension out during the action. In the area of the Chalet Chalupa pod Liscim kopcem in Vrchlabí you can challenge your friends to a battle on an outdoor playground full of obstacles.

The activity is suitable for ages eighteen and up and for eight to twenty players.

I want a battle

Guided trips

Would you like to explore the Krkonose Mountains, but don't know where to start? Are you afraid to venture out on your own? Or are you just interested in what you see along the way and would like to wander alongside someone who knows the area like the back of their hand? Then take advantage of the services of guides who are at home in the Krkonoše and will be happy to share their knowledge with you. They will plan your route, advise you on equipment. And above all, they will not just point you in the right direction, but describe the panoramas, introduce you to the mountain nature, huts and history. Enjoy a tour of an outdoor museum with real exhibits, fresh air and hills you have to climb on your own two feet.
