Location
Thanks to its convenient location on one of the main crossroads of tourist routes, Martinovka is an ideal place for a stop when crossing the Krkonose Mountains. If you stay overnight or even for several days, you can take a number of short walks or longer trips from here.
Accommodation and catering
There are 12 rooms with a total capacity of 42 beds. The modest, but cozy rooms are equipped with private bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. In the restaurant there is wi-fi available. A long-standing hit here is the blueberry dumplings, which are made in-house.
From history
The mountain chalet has been decorating the southeastern slope of the High Wheel since 1795. It is named after its founder, Martin Erlebach of Krausův bud. In the interiors, but especially in the romantic surroundings of Martinovka, besides a number of documentaries, footage was also shot for the famous films How to Rip a Stool from a Whale or Snowdrops and Machras. The route of the famous race with a tragic end, during which Hanč and Vrbata died in 1913, led through Martinova bouda. The fact that the world-famous tennis player Martina Navrátilová spent her early childhood here and got her first name after Martin's hut is one of the modern attractions of Martinovka.
