Hostinné

This town in the foothills of the Krkonose is in a great location, easy to reach from bigger towns and mountain resorts, which makes it an ideal place to visit and relax. It is dominated by two sculptures of giants, almost 5 m in height, at the town hall tower, which are bound to local legends.

The town where giants speak

An educational and entertaining game, suitable for children as well as adults, called Travel through the Kingdom of Giants, also features these giants. Their talk is the highlight of the traditional event called Porciunkule, a local feast held at the end of July and beginning of August.

We recommend seeing the Municipal Museum and Gallery of Antique Art, with a unique collection of castings of antiquity sculptures in the Franciscan Monastery.

Sports enthusiasts are welcome to try the local part of the Labe cycle trail which runs from the sources of the River Labe throughout the Czech Republic to Hamburg. Those keen on pro-active tourism and families with young children can set out into the countryside and try the Ant Trail, where they can also enjoy beautiful views of the town. Those who prefer hiking are offered several hiking circuits of various lengths in a collection of printed maps with marked trails, natural points of interest and a lot of other useful information.

We believe that everyone can find what they like best.
