Chair Lift to Portasky Chalet

This chair lift will take you from Velka Upa to Portasky chalet, from where it is just a pleasant and not very long hike to Mount Snezka, some 5 km in length. On the way to Snezka, you can visit the popular mountain farm called Decinska chalet, near Ruzohorky, with traditional service and many home-made products. You can also stop by the Pecka play area near the upper chair lift station. A collection of interactive wooden sculptures and objects featuring motifs of Krkonose fauna offers a monumental meeting with the animals that live in the highest Czech mountains. You can put your head in a lynx’s mouth, take a ride seated on a deer’s antlers, challenge rampant ants or climb up to a stork’s nest – it can be educational as well as entertaining.

Take the chair lift up and a scooter down

Enjoy the views and entertain yourself with your family. Hire a scooter, take the chair lift to get to Portasky, choose any of the recommended routes, and you can then safely go downhill.
