The church of St. John the Baptist in Janske Lazne is on the road from the main square to the Vesna children’s health resort and was built in the 19th century. The Neo-Gothic building has a rectangular nave, an almost square-shaped presbytery and an adjacent sacristy and tower with a separate entrance. The nave and presbytery have Neo-Gothic beam ceilings. The high altar is furnished with a painting of St. John the Baptist. An altar of Virgin Mary on the epistle side is shaped like a Neo-Gothic tabernacle. Opposite the altar is a sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The nave walls bear paintings of the Stations of the Cross, also in the Neo-Gothic style. The pulpit is hexagonal on a wooden post. The organ on the gallery is also made in the Neo-Gothic style. The church was recently modified for barrier-free access and promoted to a parish church in 2005. Services are held on Sundays at 9.30 a.m. and on Thursdays at 4 p.m.
